Halloween!

Halloween is not your average holiday. You rarely spend it with family. Traditions aren’t very… well… traditional. And the attire isn’t one that can exactly date back to when Halloween was started.

With girls wearing less and less clothes, I sometimes wonder what the point of this holiday is. Children are dressing like Lady Gaga, who let’s not forget was a former stripper, and grown men are dressing like old ladies. The scariness of Halloween has disappeared and now its about which female can dress the skankiest.
What happened to dressing like witches and vampires… WITH FULL LENGTH DRESSES?!?

Ok ok…. So I’ve fallen into this trap as well. For the past few yrs I’ve dressed in things I’ve always wanted to imitate.

and just the other day I lived out my dream of wearing bright blue eyeshadow with loads of glitter without getting weird looks as I portrayed an 80s girl

I loved it!

In fact I already have a costume in mind for next year… And its even funnier than years before.

So, will Halloween ever go back to what it initially was all about? Will we ever see ghosts and goblins running around, or will the streets of Hollywood be sprinkled with Britney Spears’, Hannah Montanas, Michael Jacksons and grown babies?

Who knows…. And well, who cares! Halloween is a fun annual night to dress up in something that is only limited by your wildest imagination. Its a great night to party with other freaks of nature and heck, its a great excuse to stock up on the best candy that will possibly last you until christmas.

So go on and think about what you’ll be next year… And ladies, please, try to actually wear clothes this time.
